Rodin Exhibition - October, 2006

The Rodin Exhibition, held in the Royal Academy here in London, was breath-taking. Such a sensitive capturing of women... really stunning. A very popular exhibition, the only times we could get when booking were for 10am on a Sunday morning - and all four of us made it on time - present were Sean, Will, Ed and I.

Here are a few sketches, though none in anyway do justice to his statues, which positively brimmed with life. A must see if you can at all!

Sketchcrawl - British Museum

Sketchcrawls - the zoo

I've started going along on sketchcrawls in the last month or so... great fun and a good way to motivate yourself to spend more time drawing ...

Here are a few of the results:

...and a lovely Cambodian lady we spent six hours with sharing the back of a pickup truck with from Aryana Prathet to Siem Reip in Cambodia... along with about ten others and their bags of food produce, chairs, random bundles. Roads which were impassable in anything less than a 4x4 certainly put Irish roads in perspective :) Amazing how much one can communicate with no shared verbal language.

Introduction

This is the first of maybe many posts... well, I've good intentions about it anyway ;) Currently I'm living in London, having just finished a post-grad in Character Animation and am seeking employment. All is well... and I've taken up life drawing again which I love. I've just reboarded the next short film, which I'm going to do with Barry. It's a pirate film... should be between one and three mins.

Ankle still painful but down to one crutch so it's doing well. Could be worse... but it's climbing weather!!! So frustrating not being able to climb, or cycle or even walk with all this time...ah well.

Right, so starting a work exp with Sliced Bread Wed., looking fwd to it. Life drawing tmw, few other bits and pieces on, Wed eve meeting Karen to go to a short film festival in the V&A... not been there in a while so looking fwd to that too. Life good.
